Our purpose-build early learning facility features state-of-the-art resources and equipment designed to promote open-ended, play-based interactions and extend the affordance and depth of learning opportunities.
We have created an inclusive and calm learning environment that is aesthetically pleasing and showcases defined learning centres. Children are encouraged to move freely throughout the indoor and outdoor learning environments as they develop and consolidate their physical, emotional, social, language and creative competencies.
Our skilled educators support children to become culturally competent, socially capable and environmentally responsible citizens. Our natural playscapes provide children with unlimited access to free play and exploration in natural play spaces.
Our children are provided with the opportunity to take part in regular community engagement projects. Our play-based, community and conservation initiatives enable our children to positively impact our local community and environment.
Our specialist language and art programs encourage children to become immersed in culture and community, supporting them to interact with the dynamic cultural and linguistic community in which we live.
Meet our Centre Director – Lisa Fowler
I have worked in the children’s services industry for 35 years with my most recent roles being Centre Director and Area manager for private and corporate organisations. I have previously assisted with opening two long day care centres and overseen the development and commencement of a further seven long day care centres and three OSHC centres, working closely with owners and families to achieve positive outcomes.
I live with my husband and two children, aged 15 years and 16 years, on five acres of semi-rural property where I am surrounded by animals. I am a volunteer for various local community groups including Girrawheen Lions club, Scouts and basketball. In 2017 and 2018 I held the role of Group Leader and Venture Leader in the scouting movement. I am actively involved in the Ticket to Life scout group which supports homeless children from Manila to build a better future through care and education.
I am delighted to have joined the Insight Early Learning team as Centre Director of Freo Kids Early Learning Joondalup. I am passionate about supporting educators to provide high quality care for children, enabling them to deliver outcomes above expectation. I am passionate about engaging children and families in the community with their natural surroundings, encouraging them to embrace creativity, adventure and an open mindset, while developing an atmosphere that unlocks endless possibilities all day, every day.
I am Committed to supporting staff, families and children, I encourage those around me to be resourceful, respectful and open minded. I bring an attitude of fun to the work environment which contributes to the thriving team spirit and vibrant workplace at Freo Kids Joondalup.
